Our Story
We love what we do and we love Lancaster! We (co-owners Joe Hess and Christine Hess -no relation!) grew up here, and we've been in the hospitality field for most of our lives, culminating in over fifty combined years! Over that time we’ve learned a lot about people which makes us pretty good at our job. We love helping our clients create their vision and working together to execute a fabulous, hassle-free event. Whether it’s catering a work luncheon or planning a wedding, we are joyful—and grateful to celebrate each season and milestone of your life.
Despite all of our craziness—we’re just the right blend of everything you need and a whole lot of fun- we ensure you a successful event. Throughout our years in the hospitality industry, we’ve served tens of thousands of people, seen a lot of memories made, and been in charge of the food, the drinks, the dancing, the timelines, and setting the tone for the event. We’ve been the best friend, calmed wedding day jitters, saved the day, and have loved every minute of it. We’re capable, caring, and comfortable with whatever role we need to play at your next event. After all—it wouldn’t be a party without a celebration!
Our first year in business was 50+ years in the making. We bring with us humor, joy, and a common-sense approach—because we love what we do. Here at Cracked Pepper Catering, what we do is just as much about community as it is about celebration.
As experienced chefs, we can be hired to cater family meals and intimate events. We pool our resources to create awesome meals for intimate private and corporate events, specializing in events up to 75 guests. We have a specialized team of talented chefs that are selected individually based on their skills best suited for your event.
